About MKA Associates
MKA Associates is a partnership of two independent consultants who have extensive knowledge and expertise within health and social care, education and management.
In their respective roles as senior managers in an educational setting, both partners bring a wealth of experience in working with a range of health and social care organisations in the public, private and independent sectors. More recently, as independent consultants, they have worked with a County Council and Mental Health Trusts in reviewing and evaluating safeguarding policies and practices in adult social care and the implementation of the personalisation agenda.
Within health, social care and education sectors they have experience of developing robust procedures and systems to enable such organisations to develop services that meet the requirements of their respective organisations (ie CQC, NMC, GSCC, QAA, Ofsted).
Following the recent successful CQC Inspection at Essex County Council, Liz Chidgey, Deputy Executive Director, Adults’ Health and Community Wellbeing, said, “The work done by MKA Associates has been invaluable in raising our practice standards and identifying the areas for improvement, which has in turn contributed to our success in achieving an excellent outcome in the inspection.”

MKA’s Partners
The principal partners in MKA Associates are Kate Atherton and Maire Maisch. Both are professionally qualified social workers (CQSW) and teachers, and have MAs in Education Management.
